"How many licks does it take to get down to the T00tsie Roll in the middle of a T00tsie Pop ©..."

This thought was running through my head endlessly while waiting for Blogger to load. Yes, Virginia, I have cable. Ugh!

I'm in the middle of the serious game of printer chicken... I'm printing multiple high intensity images for my yearly calendar... (yes, they were all to be done by Dec 25... Did-not-happen) Needless to say, my photo cartridge said it was low, I cleaned the heads (usually buys you a lot of prints) and am now beginning to get low warnings yet again... Each photo is carefully scrutinized for a sign of failing to live up to the standards... The page is cautiously placed into the print tray and the enter key hit. Breath. Relax. (No? Okay, stay tight and uncomfortable.) The page it is spit out ... Success! The process starts again.

So, since I am holed up in my office with my PC hooked to the internet and my iBook hooked to the printer, I have a special ability to write when R is home, and while I print out another 30 pages of calendar. (who said this was a better route?) He is comfortably at his computer in our living room, with his music, guitar and mug of cold beer. I told him to turn his AIM on and just IM me when he wanted a fresh beverage, and I'd be happy to kiss his ass get it for him. Which of course benefits me how? Yes, you see, I can actually still hide this lovely blog and actually use it too!

--------------------------------------------------------

So, here I am, hours later... I got caught by a friend on the IM. I hadn't spoke with her in a long time and her husband, R's best friend, just lost his father, so I needed to talk with her... Not an easy thing. Coincidently R's father died Dec. 25th, 2001... I still don't know the exact date of our friend's father's death, I just know it was the Holiday week.

--------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, I guess I lost my train of thought for the evening. I had many a rant to share and have now officially consumed more than would allow for a logical exchange. All I can say is I'll save the degrading exchange between myself and my favorite Aunt about my children's health and breast-feeding. I'll save the recent rocky road between R and I. I'll save the fun uplifting things my children do daily to keep me afloat... Instead I'll wish the best for the New Year and end for the day.

PS I find it just amusing that the spell check for Blogger does not know "blog" or "Blogger" Neat, eh?
