Where has the year gone?

Okay, so I really suck at keeping up to date. The idea of actually documenting my children's growth and development must have been some sort of dream or something.

Today is R's B-Day. He kept Tide with him and I told him to take the day off. They are wandering the streets looking for some trouble.

Tide turned five FIVE last month. Here's a shot of his radical cake I made him...
He's getting so big. He's in kindergarten and is loving school. A few issues listening to his teacher, but I'm sure they'll work that out.

Dorado will be two next month and he is all of that. He is such a handful. Frustrating and wonderful. You know the routine. Sigh.

The latest Business buzz... we are in the process of being sued. We had our first meeting with our lawyer this past Friday. He is supposed to contact the other man's lawyer to get the scoop on the intentions of the accuser. Basically we rigged this man's boat and he had an accident that caused severe damage to his arm and he had to have a couple fingers amputated. His lawyer sent a letter saying they were investigating our potential part in the cause of the accident. Requesting contact with our insurance company. The problem being that we do not carry product liability insurance as it's so expensive it contradicts being in business.

So, we sit and wait to see what they find and what they want. I don't believe we did anything wrong. I equally don't believe being innocent has anything to do with blood sucking accident attorneys.

I'm surviving everything around me I guess. Busy trying to keep everyone's heads up above the flood plain. Not an easy task. I hope to be back more often... then I'll really be able to share.

Another Year

"It's been a long long day.", to quote Tide's way of saying it's a really long time, weeks months and years don't compare to one of his long long days.

I'm exhausted. Dorado is sick. He has hand foot mouth disease, and just happens to have pneumonia as well. Luckily we are home doctoring him instead of the hospital. Poor guy is in such pain. He wails. He flails. He does not stop. He did not sleep last night. In fact the kid has me quite amazed at how long he can go without sleep. I'm not as strong as he is... it's starting to make me crazy. Sigh. We've been tending to him since Saturday. Tide was sick Thursday through Saturday, so it's just another normal page in our childrens lives.

R is driving me crazy, but it may be the lack of sleep... I'm not sure.

I have a lot to say, but I can't get my brain to work.

Here's a recent pic I made of the boys...

Not in Touch

Ok, So, I'm not doing what I promised myself I would do. I am not talking to this venue like I need to. I need a fucking outlet yet continually bottle, seal and send it all. Lovely. So, now that I've doubled my dosage of anti-depressants, I can get through a day without my meltdowns. Great. Thrilled, really.

My boys are really wonderful, R doing well, yet stressed as usual. Tide loving Pre-K and Dorado almost walking, just scared of trusting himself. Dorado studies everything, is just an intriguing little boy. So much fun, yet do needy right now...

We just lost my little girl dog. She was the first Dog that had ever picked me as her human. I'll miss her so much. She was still healthy and I thought had a lot of time on her side... Sadly that wasn't the case.

I'm bummed about finances and everything... Always this time of year... Our property taxes and house/business insurances are due. Bad timing.

Really I have more to share but can't seem to spit it out... I will. And need to. More to come.

He turned four...

Well, my little man is four. He started school, (pre-K), can't wait for kindergarten, has three girlfriends and loves to fish.

We decided to not have a kids party again this year. Tide was invited to a friends birthday party a couple of weeks before his and no one else showed up. No other kids from his class, just family and Tide and I. It was sad. So, we just had a river day with our friends and that's that. He was the man of the day and it was great.

I have too much going on to go into, but needed to get his stats down since my memory sucks. He had his well visit Tuesday. He is 44.5 pounds and 42.5 inches tall. No concerns in development shy of his lack of a professional dental relationship and his recent dismissal of veggies as a palatable food source. Oh well...

Here's his pose for me... He's a ham.
